This system may bring the first freeze of the season to much of the South and East. The high frequency of this module allows for high penetration. This comes in a compact package and runs on very low power, providing high-precision measurements. It is based on the SYH24A1 IC which is a 24GHz radar transceiver. The other scale (near left) represents dBZ values when the radar is in precipitation mode (dBZ values from 5 to 75). One scale (far left) represents dBZ values when the radar is in clear air mode (dBZ values from -28 to +28). Each reflectivity image you see includes one of two color scales.
